Evergreens topic of Extension class

OREGON – The University of Illinois Extension will offer an Evergreen and Poinsettia Workshop from 5 to 6:30 p.m. Dec. 12 at the Ogle County Extension office, 421 W. Pines Road.

Candice Miller, Extension horticulture educator, will demonstrate how to make wreaths, swags, garlands and kissing balls using various evergreens. She also will discuss poinsettia care and provide tips on how to make them last throughout the holiday season.

Participants will have the opportunity to make a wreath, swag or garland. The cost is $20.

Registration is due by Dec. 5. Participants may bring ornaments, pinecones or other items to add to their decoration.
