APPLE RIVER (AP) – Police in rural northwestern Illinois are looking for suspects in the thefts of two antique John Deere tractors taken from a roadside north of Apple River.

The Model A tractors dated to 1949 and were green with yellow wheels and rubber tires. Authorities say they think someone with a black pickup truck and a black-framed bed trailer may be responsible. A steel tub filled with chains also was taken.

The sheriff’s office says anyone providing information that leads to an arrest could be eligible for a reward.
