Whiteside United Way halfway to goal
Lee County agency falls short – but still has hope
STERLING – United Way of Whiteside County has raised about $400,000, more than half of its fundraising goal, Executive Director Russ Siefken said Thursday.
The goal is to raise $710,000 by March, when the campaign ends.
Money raised will help fund 20 nonprofit and charitable organizations such as the American Red Cross Lincoln Land Branch, Big Brothers/ Big Sisters and Blackhawk Area Council Boy Scouts.
