MOUNT MORRIS – The Rev. Leonard Leslie Huff, 83, of Mount Morris, died Tuesday, Nov. 6, 2012, at his home. He was a United Methodist minister, having served in several areas, including churches in Hampshire, Polo and Mount Carroll. He also served as Polo Continental Manor administrator for 14 years.

He was born in Morris, Manitoba, Canada, on Dec. 18, 1928, the son of Frederick “Fred” and Lillian (Gretzinger) Huff.

Survivors include his wife, Miriam, of Mount Morris; son, Marlow of Wendell, N.C.; daughter-in-law, Sally Huff of Raleigh, N.C.; daughter, Wendy (Chuck Westcott) of Mount Morris; brother, Gerald (Gwen) of Camrose, Alberta, Canada; five grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents; and a son, Joel in infancy.

A memorial Celebration of Life will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at Disciples United Methodist Church in Mount Morris, with Doc Newcomb, pastor, officiating. Family committal service will be at Fairmount Cemetery in Polo, with the Rev. Leonard Sukut officiating. Finch Funeral Home in Mount Morris is handling arrangements.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Disciples United Methodist Church.
