Talent show proceeds to benefit LSSI

Now that we need some healing of our souls after the events of the past few days, it’s really time for everyone in the Sauk Valley to come together in unity of spirit and celebrate “Peace, Love and Happiness,” the theme of the 12th annual edition of the Seeing Stars Talent Show.

It will take place at the Centennial Auditorium of Sterling High School this weekend at 7 p.m. today and Saturday and 2 p.m. Sunday. The event’s tickets cost only $10 at the box office of the high school until 1 hour before each performance, and $12 thereafter.

Bring the young and adults of all ages, and you will be guaranteed a good time by Lutheran Social Services of Illinois, which sponsors the show.

The other day, we ran a story about the Dixon Tourism Board's website, which is hard to navigate and missing key information, particularly about the Petunia Festival. Are we wasting our time examining local tourism websites?
