MORRISON – The City Council will vote Monday whether to designate six properties historic landmarks.

The historic preservation commission has recommended the council designate Veterans Park & Memorial, Grove Hill Cemetery and homes at 117 W. Wall St., 13909 Lincoln Road, and 402 and 708 W. Lincolnway.

The Lincolnway homes are in the Lincolnway Historic District, City Administrator Jim Wise said.

The council also will vote on re-zoning property at 118 E. Main St. One home is on the property now; the applicant wants to be able to put four residential building lots on it.

The council meets at 7 p.m. in the County Board room at the Whiteside County Law Enforcement Center, 400 N. Cherry St.
