Kudos, vets; they really fought for us
Political candidates say they fight for the people, but the fighting and service performed by military veterans is what has preserved, protected and defended our country. Thank you, veterans.
Election Day, Nov. 6, and Veterans Day, Nov. 11, are closely juxtaposed this year.
In campaign ads, candidates on the Election Day ballot often declare they are “fighters” and are willing to “fight for you.”
Military veterans must shake their heads at such talk.
