Ambassador sought for group
A community member interested in Alzheimer’s disease, public policy and advocacy is needed to represent the Alzheimer’s Association-Central Illinois Chapter as a volunteer ambassador for the 17th Congressional District.
The volunteer must live in the district. No pre-existing political relationships are required.
The ambassador will work with the district representative and staff and acts as a constituent leader on Alzheimer’s.
After completing training, the ambassador will participate in monthly teleconferences with national staff and fellow ambassadors. The volunteer will visit the district representative at least four times a year in the district and once at the annual Advocacy Forum in Washington, D.C.
