Vera J. Miller
ASHTON – Vera Joyce Miller, 81, of Ashton, passed away Monday, Nov. 5, 2012, at her home.
She was born June 1, 1931, in Paw Paw, the daughter of Benjamin and Etta (Baker) Ketchum. She married Orville Miller Jr. on March 23, 1949, in Fergus Falls, Minn. He preceded her in death on June 13, 2009. Vera farmed with her husband for many years.
Survivors include her four children, Bruce (Kathy) Miller of Dixon, Michael Miller of Ashton, Debra Argetsinger of Rochelle and Peggy Martinez of Rockford; 13 grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by one sister and five brothers.
The graveside service will at 11 a.m. Saturday at Steward Cemetery, with the Rev. Farrell Stauffer officiating. Cremation rites have been accorded. Coulon-Lyons Family Funeral Homes & Cremation Services in Ashton handled arrangements.
