Order today to get shirts by holiday Christmas

DIXON – Today is the last day to order Mumford & Sons T-shirts featuring the Gentlemen of the Road Stopover Tour shield, similar to the ones sold at the concert in August, if you want to guarantee it arrives in time for holiday gift-giving.

The band has given the nonprofit Dixon Main Street permission to sell T-shirts as a fundraiser for its events and programs, like the Scarecrow Festival and the Dixon Christmas Walk, Executive Director Josh Albrecht has said.

The shirts, which come in sizes S-2X, cost $30, and can be ordered at Books on First, The Crystal Cork Wine Shoppe and Venier’s Jewelry. They also can be ordered from Main Street at 815-288-2308, at www.mainstreet.org or on its Facebook page.

The other day, we ran a story about the Dixon Tourism Board's website, which is hard to navigate and missing key information, particularly about the Petunia Festival. Are we wasting our time examining local tourism websites?
