False tickets a problem at Dixon prison
The Illinois Department of Corrections has a professional code of conduct that all officers and staff must abide by.
Officers and staff are given annual training about various topics that also deal with the code of conduct. There are no reasons acceptable for any officer to violate the code of conduct.
Usually, it is 20 percent of the officers who write 80 percent of the tickets. It is those 20 percent that do most of the fabricating, writing false tickets with bits and pieces of the truth mixed in. I have received my share of false tickets at Dixon Correctional Center.
