ROCK FALLS – Brenda L. Druien, 71, of Rock Falls, passed away Monday, Nov. 5, 2012.

She was born Sept. 19, 1941, in Hoxie, Ark., the daughter of John H. and Elnora (Williams) Hibbard. She married C. Dale Druien on Sept. 29, 1959, in Como. Brenda was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Sterling. She was very active in genealogy, and loved working in her flower garden and collecting antiques.

Surviving are her husband, Dale; two sons, David (Julie) Druien and Mark (Connie) Druien; her daughter, Lisa (Steven) Cvetko; her sisters, Judy (Ray) Hodges of Rockford, Freida Thompkins of Rock Falls, Nancy (Nicholas) Rodriguez of Jacksonville, N.C. and Sherry McLaren of Rock Falls; two brothers, Michael (Martha) Hibbard of Milledgeville and Jack (Janice) Hibbard of Rock Falls; eight grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; and one sister, Barbara Nerstheimer. 

Visitation will be from 10 to 11:45 a.m., followed by the funeral at noon, Friday at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Burial will be at Tampico Memorial Cemetery. McDonald Funeral Homes handled arrangements.

In lieu of flowers, a memorial will be established.
