ROCK FALLS – Mary Alice Shoffner, 66, of Rock Falls, died Sunday, Nov. 4, 2012, at her home. She was an executive administrative assistant at Schwinn Bicycle for 24 years.

Mary was born Dec. 16, 1945, in Chicago, the daughter of Gonzalo and Rachel Sandoval. She married Niel Shoffner on May 16, 1998, in Rock Falls. She was a member of First Congregational Church in Rock Falls.

Survivors include her husband of Rock Falls; one daughter, Wendy (Scot) Cole of Gilbert, Ariz.; two sons, Robbie (Nikki) Shoffner of Sterling and Eric (Jodie) Shoffner of Dixon; two sisters, Norma (Allen) Mailand of Chicago and Patricia Taylor of Las Cruces, N.M.; and seven grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

A gathering of family and friends will be from 1 to 2 p.m., followed by the memorial service at 2 p.m., Saturday at First Congregational Church, with the Rev. Al Campbell, pastor, officiating. McDonald Funeral Home & Crematory in Rock Falls handled arrangements.

In lieu of flowers, a memorial has been established.
