STERLING – George V. Allie, 53, of Sterling, died Sunday, Nov. 4, 2012, at his home. He was a laborer with Teamsters Local 727 in Dixon.

He was born Dec. 31, 1958, in Sterling, a son of G.V. and Patricia (McCleary) Allie. George was a former president of the Sterling Youth Girls Softball League.

Survivng are his three daughters, Darcy Allie and Ashley Allie, both of Rock Falls, and Heather Allie of Sterling; four grandchildren, Luis Reyes Jr., Markeya Coleman, Angeles Coleman Jr. and Aly’senya Peralta; his goddaughters, Alexandra Rodriguez and Jasmine Rodriguez; his parents, G.V. and Patricia Allie of Rock Falls; his siblings, Ronald (Cheryl) Zinke Jr. of Dixon, Linda Allie Campos and Julie (Jamie Gordon) Allie, both of Rock Falls, and Martha (Mike) Voss of Phoenix; nine nieces and nephews; and 13 great-nieces and great-nephews.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents.

Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Wednesday at McDonald Funeral Home in Rock Falls. The funeral will be at 10 a.m. Thursday at the funeral home. Cremation rites will be accorded following the service.

A memorial has been established.
