MORRISON – Larry H. Darby, 70, of Morrison, died Saturday, Nov. 3, 2012, at Pleasant View Nursing Home in Morrison. 

He was born Aug. 24, 1942, in Ottawa to Homer Lamont and Elaine Farris (Cleeton) Darby. He married Emily (Harmon) Brandon in Ottawa. He married Jane (Hetz) Beswick in Iowa City, Iowa, on June 5, 1988.

He held various electrician positions, retiring from Electric Service in Clinton, Iowa.

He was a member of Emmanuel Reformed Church in Morrison.

He is survived by his wife, Jane; one daughter, Amy Darby-Ryan of Erie; two sons, Bruce (Brandy) Darby of Morrison and Matthew (Laurel) Darby of Fulton; two stepdaughters, Sally (Dave DeCock) Veselko of Clinton, Iowa, and Lori (Pete) Vanderlaan of St. Charles; two stepsons, Rick Beswick and Terry Beswick, both of Fulton; nine grandchildren; 12 step-grandchildren; 13 step-great-grandchildren; and two sisters, Lynn (Ron) Mussatto of Ottawa and Jean Morgan-Flash of Seneca.

He was preceded in death by his parents; two daughters, Patricia and Marylynn Darby, both in infancy; one son, Michael Darby; one stepson, Tony Beswick; and one brother, Ronald Dean Darby in infancy.

Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at Morrison Chapel of the Bosma-Renkes Funeral Home in Morrison. The funeral will be 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at Emmanuel Reformed Church in Morrison. Interment will be at Grove Hill Cemetery in Morrison.

A memorial has been established at Emmanuel Reformed Church in Morrison and to the Parkinson’s Foundation.

Bosma-Renkes Funeral Homes in Morrison is handing arrangements.
