Students who don’t do sports can still succeed
I keep hearing that those who do sports do better in school, stay out of trouble, and go to college. Just because students don’t participate in a sport doesn’t mean that they won’t do well in school or get into trouble.
There are other activities beside sports that kids can be involved in, such as band, choir, clubs, community service, etc. I’m sure many of those kids do just as well in school and stay out of trouble as those who do sports.
There are other things that factor into how well kids do, such as parent involvement and family values. I have put three kids though Dixon schools. Two have graduated and gone to college; the other will graduate this year. They didn’t do sports, yet did well in school and stayed out of trouble.
