ROCK FALLS – A free workshop about diabetes prevention in children and adolescents with intellectual, developmental disabilities will be from 1 to 4 p.m. Nov. 28 at Whiteside County Health Department, 1300 W. Second St.

Those attending will learn about strategies for health advocacy for children and ways to support healthy lifestyles. Parents, caregivers, educators and health care professionals may attend. Three continuing education units can be earned.
