Obituaries

Deno C. Tulini

ROCK FALLS – Deno C. Tulini, 91, of Rock Falls, died Tuesday, Oct. 30, 2012, at Coventry Living Center in Sterling. He was a pipefitter at Northwestern Steel and Wire Co. for 33 years, retiring in 1983. He later worked as a custodian at Amcore Bank for 15 years.

Deno was born Dec. 10, 1920, in Mark, the son of Joseph and Albina (Bettocchi) Tulini. He served in the Army Air Forces. He married Cecilia Concotelli on Sept. 1, 1951, in Sterling. He was a member of St. Andrew Catholic Church in Rock Falls.

Surviving are his wife of Rock Falls; three daughters, Jane (Doug) Hall of St. Pete Beach, Fla., Julie (Edward) Butterbaugh of Sugar Grove and Susan Tulini of St. Petersburg, Fla.; two sons, William (Susan) Tulini of Lake Zurich and Robert Tulini of Chicago; two sisters, Vicki Carpenter of Naples, Fla. and Margaret Bonucchi of Granville; six grandchildren and one great-grandchild.  

He was preceded in death by his parents.

The rosary will be recited at 1:45 p.m., followed by the visitation from 2 to 4 p.m., Sunday at McDonald Funeral Home, 1002 12th Ave., Rock Falls. Celebration of the Mass of Christian Burial will be at 11 a.m. Monday at St. Andrew Catholic Church in Rock Falls, with Monsignor Thomas Dzielak, celebrant, officiating. Burial, with full military honors, will be at Calvary Cemetery in Sterling.
