Vote Ottens for circuit clerk

I urge you to keep Susan E. Ottens circuit court clerk of Whiteside County. I have worked with Susan for more than 15 years in the circuit clerk’s office. Her dedication, expertise and commitment to serving the public is unparalleled.

Susan has been very intentional about learning every position in the office, from child support, family, small claims, law division, traffic and misdemeanor cases to felony cases. Her 24 years of experience enables her to provide quick answers to many challenging questions.

Susan embraces technology. She is quick to implement new programs as they become available.

Today, anyone with Internet access can look up court cases to check on motions, hearing dates and payments. The site is www.judici.com.

Since the site is updated multiple times every day, it is relied upon by lawyers, employers doing background checks, and parties checking the status of their ongoing cases. If someone wants to make a payment online, there are two websites available: www.illinoisepay.com and www.govpaynow.com.

Susan is an excellent administrator. As circuit court clerk, she supervises two full-service offices in Sterling and Morrison with 13 employees. She coordinates scheduling of clerks in five courtrooms. She manages a budget of more than $1.4 million.

Whiteside County, in the midst of one of the biggest murder trials in decades, needs a competent, knowledgeable circuit court clerk. Whiteside County needs Susan E. Ottens. Experience matters.

Note to readers – Sue Gravert is chief deputy circuit court clerk.
