Open Bible Church to host concert

ROCK FALLS – A Christian music concert will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Nov. 10 at First Open Bible Church, 2105 East U.S. Route 30.

The Templeton Family, DC3 Trio and New Vocal Blend will perform, with additional music provided. The cost is $10 for adults, $5 for children 6 to 12 years, and free for children 5 and younger.

On pensions, Bivins and GOP far apart

Sen. Tim Bivins, R-Dixon, joined with many of his fellow Senate Republicans this week to reject a pension bill sponsored by Democratic Senate President John Cullerton of Chicago. The measure passed 40-16. Bivins had a different reason for his no vote.
