Making a difference in Dixon

Published: Monday, Oct. 29, 2012 11:51 p.m. CST

Emma Kerley, 6, and Zoie Wyatt, 6, both of Daisy Troop 5219, carry a large branch at Lowell Park Saturday during AmeriCorps Make a Difference Day. A group of nearly 50 volunteers cleared debris and litter along the pathways. Area Brownies and Daisies earned either a petal or a badge for their help. The girls joined AmeriCorps associates and several community volunteers in the final park cleanup day of the season.
