BATTERY CASE: Christopher C. Owens, 20, of Dixon; charged with aggravated arson, punishable by 6 to 30 years in prison. According to police, on Sept. 20, Owens beat up a Dixon man outside an apartment building where a fire later was set. Owens was charged the next day with aggravated battery. He was charged Oct. 11 with arson and the battery charge was dropped. He is in Lee County Jail on $100,000 bond.
