‘Yes’ vote will help residents in many ways

We, the people of Dixon, will be given the opportunity to change things in our great town. We will be given the opportunity to vote yes on a referendum that will give our residents the chance to make a difference in our community, now and into the future.

I’m in favor of this referendum. It’s time for Dixon to have facilities comparable to, if not better than, facilities in other towns. I see the incredible revenue that can be generated, not only by soccer tournaments and other travelling teams, but also by great theatrical productions, showing outside companies and possible inhabitants we have a community that is healthy and vibrant; a community that can support a facility attractive to people to move here.

I also see the financial impact of this facility. Visitors will have to use our restaurants, gas stations, hotels and possibly, but I sincerely hope not, our medical community for its needs. This will generate millions of dollars in the long run.

Good or bad? Depends on who you ask

Sometimes readers ask for more good news in the paper. They say we in the media only cover the bad. But one person's positive is another's negative.

My kind of game

I would have gladly paid to take in the game I covered Saturday morning in Morrison.
