Nice turnout; now, parking to be addressed

The fourth annual Beggar’s Walk at Heritage Canyon was deemed a success by the Early American Crafters.

Organizers estimated at least 900 children and 400 to 500 adults attended the event on Oct. 20. Many local volunteers, including the Girl Scouts, Sparkettes, Fulton High School Thespians, Ralph North and several Early American Crafters, provided assistance.

The event continues to grow, and organizers realize parking is a problem at Heritage Canyon because of its residential location. Event organizers wish to apologize to those who received a parking ticket. The Early American Crafters and city of Fulton are working to settle the issue for future events.

The other day, we ran a story about the Dixon Tourism Board's website, which is hard to navigate and missing key information, particularly about the Petunia Festival. Are we wasting our time examining local tourism websites?
