Lillian M. Cook

MILLEDGEVILLE – Lillian M. Cook, 94, of Milledgeville, died Thursday, Oct. 25, 2012, at CGH Medical Center in Sterling. She was a homemaker.

She was born Sept. 9, 1918, in Milledgeville, the daughter of Harry and Jessie (Meakins) Bowders. She married George Cook in 1939. He preceded her in death on Dec. 6, 1976. Lillian was a member of Milledgeville Brethren Church.

Survivors include a daughter, Carolyn Sue McGinn of Phoenix; a son, Gary (Beth) Cook of Rock Falls; six grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren. 

She also was preceded in death by a daughter, Beverly.

Visitation will be from 10 to 11 a.m., followed by the funeral at 11 a.m., Tuesday at Milledgeville Brethren Church, with the Rev. Jim Black, pastor, officiating. Burial will be at Bethel Cemetery in Milledgeville. McDonald Funeral Home in Milledgeville handled arrangements. 

A memorial has been established.
