MORRISON – Becky J. Workman, 56, of Des Plaines, formerly of Morrison, died Wednesday, Oct. 24, 2012, at Northwestern Memorial Hospital in Chicago. She worked as a cook in various food service settings.

Becky was born Aug. 25, 1956, in Moline, the daughter of Ben B. and Arlene R. (McKinzie) Buckman. She married Lauren L. Workman on July 5, 1975, in Morrison. He preceded her in death on Jan. 1, 1993.

Survivors include three daughters, Starlet (Jeff) Doden of Lehigh Acres, Fla., Roxanne (Jason) Groenewold of Morrison and Crystal (Keith) Burnwold of North Carolina; three sons, Joshua Workman (fiancée Kristina Linz) of Davenport, Iowa, and Curt Workman and John (Kimberly) Workman, both of Morrison; 16 grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and three sisters, Barbara Waters of Des Plaines, Jingles Karuga of LaFarge, Wis., and Beverly Vanderleest of Craig, Colo.
