James R. Love Sr.

STERLING – James R. Love Sr., 85, of Dixon, died Monday, Oct. 22, 2012, at Coventry Village in Sterling, after a brief illness. He was a retired dispatcher from Ling Transfer in Dixon.

He was born June 7, 1927, in Boone, Iowa, the son of Elmer and Jennie (Chaney) Love. He married Barbara McConnaughy on July 18, 1945, in Dixon. She preceded him in death on June 15, 2007. He was a World War II Army veteran.

He is survived by daughters, Vicki (John) Ristow and Linda K. (Thomas) Sanford, both of Dixon; sons, Michael James (Linda) Love of Sterling and James Robert Love Jr. of Dixon; six grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.
