Montmorency fires 31-year teaching vet
Instructor’s been on workers’ comp, sick leave for 3 years
ROCK FALLS – A longtime Montmorency School teacher who has been on workers’ compensation or paid sick leave for 3 years was fired Monday at a special meeting of the seven-member board, effective immediately.
The vote to fire Lauri Adami, of Rock Falls, a tenured fourth-grade teacher hired in 1981, was unanimous, Superintendent John Rosenberry said Tuesday.
Rosenberry declined to explain the reason for the dismissal. He did say no children were in danger.
