PROPHETSTOWN – Bernadine R. Schultz, 86, of Prophetstown, formerly of Monticello, passed away at 10:45 a.m. Monday, Oct. 22, 2012, at Prophets Riverview Good Samaritan Center in Prophetstown. She was a housekeeper and caretaker at Cornerstone Home in Monticello.

Bernadine was born Jan. 15, 1926, in Mansfield, the daughter of Samuel and Edna (Furnish) DeGrofft. She married Harvey R. Schultz on July 9, 1944, in Urbana. He preceded her in death on Feb. 13, 1984. 

Surviving are her sons, Terry Schultz of Lacon and Jeff (Carol) Schultz of Prophetstown; daughter, Sherry (Dan) Smith of Varna; grandson, Jeremiah Smith; and great-granddaughter, Trinity Smith.
