New video machines up and running at Sterling bowling alley
STERLING – The owner of Blackhawk Lanes in Sterling said the addition of video gaming machines will help his bowling alley – and the state – make money.
What appear to be the first two video gaming machines in the area were turned on at Blackhawk Lanes, 2325 E. Lincolnway, at 6 p.m. Tuesday.
Under the state Video Gaming Act, municipalities can pass ordinances allowing video gambling machines, and collect tax revenue from them.
