Robert E. ‘Stick’ Payne
AMBOY – Robert E. “Stick” Payne, 71, of Amboy, died Saturday, Oct. 20, 2012, at Loyola University Medical Center in Maywood.
He was born Aug. 31, 1941, in Amboy, the son of Earl and Margaret (Koehler) Payne. He was the manager of Ohio Grain Co. in Ohio for 37 years before his retirement. He was a member of St. Patrick Catholic Church in Amboy, Knights of Columbus and Mendota Elks Lodge.
He married Marilyn Schlesinger, who preceded him in death in 1966. He married Pamela Chiverton in Dixon on April 20, 1968.
