Outdoor adventures: Winterize before the season greets us
It is true. I am in heaven. Not to say I am writing this here article from a mansion in the good Lord’s kingdom or anything. But I did just get done gnawing on a platter full of bluegill and crappie fillets.
That, my friends, is certainly some divine dining, if I do say so myself. Them ritzy-type ocean-goers can have their cod and lobster. I’ll take a plate of panfish any day of the week. And when they come out of cool water? Well, that is even better.
We are blessed here in the Rock River valley to have such outdoor diversity. There are a ton of great panfish to be caught right here in the Rock. But, if you’re looking for a little more room to roam, head west to the mighty
Mississippi, where the bite is really going good, and there is a lot more water to float in, as well.
