DIXON – As the weather cools down, Home of Hope Cancer Wellness Center is heating things up with its first Blues & Brews beer- and wine-tasting fundraiser today.

The event, which also will offer live music, is being held from 5 to 10 p.m. at Oak Lane of Oregon, 3261 S. Daysville Road.

Crystal Cork Wine Shoppe of Dixon will offer 25 beers such as Michelob Ultra Light Cider, Wild Blue, Wild Red, Wild Black, Goose Island Honkers, Goose Island Nut Brown, Goose Island 312, O’Fallon 5 Day IPA, Shiner Bock, Shiner Wild Hare Pale Ale, Shock Top, Shock Top Pumpkin Wheat, Potosi and Leffe Brown.
