Sterling man arrested in stolen car
MORRISON – A Sterling man was in Whiteside County Jail on $20,000 bond Wednesday after being arrested the day before in a car stolen in Rock Falls, police said.
Haiden Lavelle, 20, is charged with theft of a motor vehicle. His preliminary hearing is Oct. 25.
About 4:33 p.m. Tuesday, Rock Falls police were called to CLS Thrift Shop, 607 First Ave., where a 2002 Chevrolet Impala had been stolen. The keys were in the car and the doors were unlocked, Chief Mike Kuelper said.
