ROCK FALLS – A poker run fundraiser for a 13-year-old facing cancer will start at noon Saturday at the Cooler, 311 W. Second St. in Rock Falls.

Edan McPeak of Oregon, son of Julene Sandusky, was diagnosed 7 years ago with neuroblastoma. He is receiving chemotherapy, radiation and other treatments at the University of Chicago Medicine Comers Children’s Hospital.

Edan recently had tumors removed from inside his face, is being fed through a tube and is getting physical therapy, said his aunt, Felisha Brauer of Rock Falls.

Proceeds from the poker run will help the family pay medical and transportation expenses.

All vehicles are welcome. Cost is $10 per person or $15 per couple. Registration begins at 11 a.m., the run at noon, and the last vehicle is due back at 3:30 p.m. The Lizzie Neil Band will perform, and there will be a silent auction and a card drawing.

Call Brauer at 815-668-1684 for more information.
