Phone company deals with outage in Dixon
Some lines out of service since last week
DIXON – Some Dixon residents have been without telephone service since last week.
On Wednesday, a surveying company drove a stake into a major cable for CenturyLink, the phone utility for Dixon.
At the worst, about 200 phone lines, including more than 20 for businesses, were out of service in southwest Dixon, including First, Second and Sixth streets and College Avenue, said Jack Moore, a spokesman for the utility.
