Democratic meet-and-greet tonight

PRINCETON — The Illinois Valley Democratic Women will host a Meet the Candidate event at 6:30 tonight at Princeton Public Library, 698 E. Peru St.

Invited are 76th District state Rep. Frank Mautino of Spring Valley; 16th Congressional District candidate Wanda Rohl of Ottawa; 38th District state Senate candidate Christine Benson of Ottawa; 74th District state House candidate Gus Junior of Atkinson; Bureau County State’s Attorney Pat Herrmann; Bureau County Coroner Janice Wamhoff; Dawn Reglin, candidate for Bureau County circuit clerk; and Bureau County Board candidates.

Each will get 10 minutes to address the audience and answer questions.

Light refreshments will be available.

Afterward, Democratic Party members and attendees can go to Ye Olde Underground Inn, 219 S. Sixth St., to watch the presidential debate, which also will be recorded on DVR.
