Rain moves festival indoors in Sterling
Chili cookers braved the weather for United Way; pet parade canceled
STERLING – Pouring rain put a damper on three downtown events Saturday.
Sterling Main Street’s first Harvest Moon Festival had to move indoors to First Presbyterian Church because of the downpour. The hay bale maze was canceled and a Sterling Fire Department truck on exhibit for the kids was sent back to the station.
About 30 people went to the church to see the eight vendors who moved there, some of whom sold jewelry, arts and crafts, and homemade soap.
