‘Let’s make Illinois great again’

I live about 3 miles outside of Whiteside County on my family farm, along with my wife of 33 years, Betsey. My ancestors have worked this same plot of earth since 1842. We are people of the land and of this community.

We are regularly involved in Sauk Valley life. Our family has always done business in Whiteside County with your tractor dealerships, feed mills and farm stores. To us, folks in Whiteside County just seem to make sense.

I have been a state representative for one term. It has been an amazing honor to represent the 71st District. I have moved significant legislation and served with integrity. Please investigate my record at www.ilga.gov.

Wise saw collapse in support

Last week, Sterling Alderwoman Amy Viering attended her last meeting as a city official. She gave the usual praise one hears at such departures. But one compliment stuck out. At the end of her speech, she turned to City Administrator Scott Shumard and said, "You're awesome."
