Last horse sells for more than $33,000
DIXON – The last of former Comptroller Rita Crundwell’s prized quarter horses fetched $33,500 in an online auction Thursday.
Whiteless, a 2010 bay mare, was resold this week after the original bidder during a live auction last month failed to pay for the horse.
The horse, now in Caseyville, initially sold for $42,000 via an online bid during the auction at Crundwell’s Red Brick Road ranch.
