Carl 'Jack' Wagner

AMERICAN FORK, Utah – Carl Wagner, our loving husband, father, grandpa, great-grandpa, brother and friend, passed away Sunday, Sept. 23, 2012, at his home in American Fork, Utah, from cancer.

Carl was born Oct. 15, 1929, to Carl Henry Wagner and Daisy Kathrine Wernick in Milledgeville. He married his sweetheart, Betsy Robinson, on Dec. 4, 1953, in American Fork. The marriage later was solemnized in the Provo Temple. He was a veteran of the Army, serving during the Korean War. He opened and operated his own business. He could make and fix anything. He loved fishing, gardening, laughing, talking about his childhood and especially loved being with his family.

He is survived by his wife, Betsy; eight children, Carlene (Vern) Carson, Scott Wagner, Craig (Debbie) Wagner, Michael (Kenna) Wagner, SheRie (John) Rowe, Shannon (Lindsay) Oswald, Kurt Wagner and Ryan Wagner; 20 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; and two siblings, Mary (Lee) Gibbs and Monty (Nina) Wagner.
