Marvin K. Bollman
DIXON – Marvin Keith Bollman, 77, of Dixon, died Wednesday, Oct. 10, 2012, at The Manor Care in Davenport, Iowa. He worked for Borden Milk Co. in Dixon, Martin-Marietta in Oregon and as a Walmart greeter in Dixon and Sterling.
Marvin was born July 6, 1935, in Sterling, the son of Wilbur and Marian (Swartz) Bollman. He served in the Army. Marvin was an avid collector of toy tractors and trucks. Being a greeter at Walmart was more than a job to Marvin, it was his passion. He enjoyed all of “his” customers and co-workers.
Survivors include his children, Karen Busser of Byron and Steven Bollman of Dixon; three grandchildren, Danielle (Chris) Schindlbeck of Arlington Heights, Benjamin Busser of Oregon and Kayla Busser of Byron; one great-granddaughter, Sophia Schindlbeck; his mother, Marian Bollman of Dixon; two brothers, Dale (Diana) Bollman of Harmon and Frank Bollman of Rock Falls; and one sister, Janet (Jim) Warner of Stillman Valley.
