4-H program helps youths in many ways

4-H has been a monumental program in my upbringing. Its programs have shaped who I am and will continue to do so. As president of Carroll County 4-H Federation, I get to help lead others who are also experiencing 4-H’s life-changing effects.

Federation is a program that influences a vast amount of young people with its fun activities along with helping our community. I am also a county ambassador and witness similar things in that role. My hope as a leader is to influence young 4-H members the same way I was influenced – an influence to grow, to be responsible, and to make the best better.

4-H offers something for everyone but promotes the same great assets. 4-H members are tomorrow’s leaders as we will make the best better. This week, Oct. 7-13, is 4-H week – a time to celebrate all that 4-H offers along with our great leaders, volunteers and members.
