Slime, fright and pumpkins add to exhibits
Museum of Science and Industry puts on its witch’s hat for October
CHICAGO – Chilly nights, eyes turned toward the moon with its shadows, and pumpkins sitting on porches – these experiences have the feel of Halloween.
That feeling can be expanded upon in Chicago. Where else could an explorer go to find out if pumpkins bounce? Just stop for the pumpkin smashing at 10:30 a.m. and 1 p.m. in the Museum of Science and Industry.
Throughout October, the museum indulges in Spooky Science. At various times throughout the day, visitors can step into the role of a spooky scientist and create their very own slime or test that bouncing pumpkin theory.
