Oliver F. Kurth

ASHTON – Oliver F. Kurth, 87, of Ashton, passed away Saturday, Oct. 6, 2012, at his home. He was a lifelong farmer.

Oliver was born June 29, 1925, in Ashton, the son of Fred and Minnie (Mall) Kurth. He was a veteran of World War II in the 9th Air Force, serving from 1943 to 1945 in England, France and Germany. Oliver married Geraldine Brackman on Feb. 18, 1956. He was a member of Franklin Grove Historical Society and Ashton United Methodist Church.

He is survived by his wife, Geraldine, and son, Kevin Kurth, both of Ashton; and daughter, Jill Kurth of Rockford. He also was an uncle to many nieces and nephews.
