State offices to be closed on Columbus Day holiday
CHICAGO (AP) — Gov. Pat Quinn will be among the participants marching in Chicago's Columbus Day Parade.
The event is slated to start at 12:30 p.m. on Monday in Grant Park, which is along Chicago's lakefront. City officials say some downtown streets will be closed due to the parade.
Columbus Day is a state holiday, and that means state offices will be closed.
