State Police

John Allen, 70, of Waukesha, Wis.; 1:49 p.m. Friday on Interstate 39 in Lee County; unknown medical condition caused driver to enter Willow Creek rest area, striking a garbage container. Driver transported to Rochelle Community Hospital.

Steven D. Schultz, 42, of Sterling; 3:26 p.m. Wednesday at Third Street and Fourth Avenue in Sterling; driving with a suspended license, no insurance; posted I-bond.

Sterling Police

Edward R. Rodriguez, 57, of Colorado; 1:50 a.m. Friday at Locust and East Fourth streets; driving under the influence, driving with a revoked license, wrong way on a one-way street, no insurance; posted $300 cash bond.

David G. Atkinson, 56, of Amboy; 8:03 a.m. Friday at First Avenue and East Fourth Street; disobeying traffic-control device; posted driver’s license.

Steven E. Kaiser, 52, of Sterling; 6:09 p.m. Friday at Sixth Avenue and East Ninth Street; failure to reduce speed to avoid accident; posted driver’s license.

Dixon Police

James W. Helfrich, 41, of Dixon; 3 p.m. Sunday in the 100 block of South Peoria Avenue; Whiteside County warrant for failure to appear in court; taken to Lee County Jail.

Arthur J. Zacharias, 23, of Dixon; 6 a.m. Sunday in the 800 block of Murphy Street; assault; released.
