Two charged with selling painkillers

OREGON – One man was free on bond, while another was in the Ogle County Jail on Friday on charges they sold painkillers within 1,000 feet of Sandsucker Park on Sept. 28.

William V. Oldenburg, 24, and George D. Schneider, 19, both of Oregon, are charged with delivery of a controlled substance.

Oldenburg is in the jail on a $15,000 bond. He has a preliminary hearing Oct. 17. Schneider posted $300 bond Tuesday. He has a status hearing Nov. 2.

Both men were arrested this week, Ogle County Sheriff Michael Harn said Friday in a news release.
