Why should you vote for the 1 percentage point sales tax increase?  Why do you shop Black Friday specials? Because you like a good deal.  This sales tax isn’t a good deal; it’s a great deal.

For pennies, Dixon can have an activities and sports center. I’ve lived here only a few years, but I know the winters are way too cold to exercise outside. It would be great to have an indoor activities center.

Everyone has their hand in your pocket? This sales tax revenue goes directly to our local regional office of education, where a check is written directly to each school district.  A district can choose how to use the money, as long as it’s for buildings and maintenance.
