Keep bad call brick handy for politicians, too
I keep a rubberized bad call brick beside my favorite chair when watching my Green Bay Packers. I used it Monday night, Sept. 22. The talk – even by most Bear fans – was just how bad the calls were and the need to get the “professional” referees back on the field.
As a died-in-the-wool Packer fan, I can still accept it’s “only a game,” and the replacement refs were “doing the best they can.” However, I cannot accept the farce being perpetrated on citizens of Illinois and the nation.
Here we have a state ranked last of all 50 states when it comes to corruption. Laugh at replacement refs, but how can we laugh at such jokes as, “Our governors serve two terms; one in Springfield and one in prison”?
